With summer in full session and schools out for the year, before you head out of town for the weekend or on your return from the beach trip here are a list of things in the Philadelphia & Main Line area of family fun activities that you can do! Delco Summer Festival Concert Series
Bring a blankets and some chairs to enjoy a spectacular line up of performances this summer. Most shows are held in the evening; however, there is one children’s performances held at 10 AM. Concessions are sold at all concerts or guests may bring their own tasty provisions! For the full line and more information click the link here! Reading with the Radnor Police
A great opportunity to get to know your local police officers! Will read a story, have some snacks, and then there will be an opportunity to ask questions about some of the things our police officers doe each day. There might even be tours of the police vehicles or surprise visit from the K-9 officers!

Narberth Summerfest Music & Arts Festival – Sunday, July 15, 2018
The 2018 Summer Music Festival runs from 2 PM to 7 PM on Sunday, July 15. It is a family event on Haverford Avenue featuring street food, drinks, and free live music all day. Artists Alley is right next door on Forrest Ave from Noon to 6pm!
Alex and The Kaleidoscope – Tuesday, July 24, 2018

East Goshen Food Truck and Music Festival – Saturday, August 25, 2018
Last year’s inaugural Food Truck Festival was a SMASH hit! We anticipated 500 people and had over 2,500! This year’s will include MORE food trucks and MORE awesome live music! Come check them out for a free even on Saturday, August 25th from 4 PM to 8 PM.

Please Touch Museum: First Wednesdays
Through a partnership with Vetri’s Mobile Teaching Kitchen, chefs young and old will learn how to cook fresh produce. The Please Touch Museum will be open until 7 PM for two extra hours of play, and offers $2 per person admission from 4 PM and on. Enjoy your visit.

Delaware River Waterfront
If you’re down by the waterfront make sure you check out the awesome food, cool spots, and activities along Spruce Street Harbor Park and the Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest.
Storytime in the Lodge – Every Saturday until September 1st
Each week, enjoy a new book and entertainment with Listen, Learn, and Play, with occasional featured readers. Light snacks and Honest Tea juices will be provided for the kids as well as a book swap each week facilitated by partnering organizations. Runs from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Sundays with PopUpPlay – Every Sunday until September 30th
In conjunction with PopUpPlay and other great Philly nonprofits, this program will offer a variety of free kids activities with monthly themes. Children and families will engage in interactive activities through art, music, science, and physical movement that revolve around themes like water science, civic engagement, building, and more. Runs from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Summer Sounds in the Historic District
When museum galleries go dark and the sun goes down in Philadelphia’s Historic District, live jazz, DJ tunes, Latin grooves and even the sweet sounds of a symphony make the district’s parks, plazas and patios come alive. From Friday, June 1 through Friday, September 7, the Summer Sounds in the Historic District free music series delivers sweet tunes at nearly a dozen locations in Old City, Society Hill and along the Delaware River waterfront! Parks on Tap
Parks on Tap is an initiative with the city that kicked off in 2016, aiming to engage the Philadelphia community and give back to the neighborhood parks. Fresh food, beer on tap, wine, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages are provided in a festive outdoor environment featuring comfortable chairs and hammocks, and clean restrooms.
